Wagon Raffle
Each year we raffle a Jr. Troop Handler wagon, which is handcrafted in Lancaster County. This is our major fundraiser. The wagon raffle generates money to support all of our various charities. You will find members of our detachment selling raffle tickets spring through fall at various shopping centers and mall
s.

Honor Guard
Last year our Detachment participated in 241 military funerals with our firing squad and colors. We continue to do this for families that request a military funeral. For more information, contact George VanDusen at 610-789-6955.

Adopt a Highway Program
The detachment is responsible for the clean up of Bishop Hollow Road (Newtown Square) four times per year.

Marine Sunday
Our detachment joins with the Chester County detachment to honor the memory our of name sake and Conduct a Military ritual at the grave of General Smedley D. Butler. This ceremony is conducted every year on the Sunday closest to November 10th.

Marine Corps Ball
Every year on or about the Marine Corps Birthday, November 10, our detachment has an elegant gala to celebrate the birth of The Corps. All are sure to have a wonderful time.

Toys For Tots
In conjunction with the Marine Corps Reserve we collect over 100 barrels of toys for needy children.

Scholarships
Each year our detachment awards six (6) $500.00 Scholarships.

Veteran's Day Parades
Our Detachment participates in various Veteran's Day parades and activities.

Needy Family Program
Each year we make donations to needy families during Thanksgiving and the holiday season.

VAVS Program
Members & Auxiliary Members @ September barbecue and picnicVarious programs that we sponsor under our VAVS program at the Coatesville, PA Medical Facility:

    • Bingo once a month on the second Monday,
    • St. Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day parties,
    • September barbecue and picnic,
      Christmas stocking stuffing and Christmas party,
    • And various other activities at the hospital

In Remembrance
